FEES & REBATES (As at 1 July 2023)
The Australian Psychological Society recommends a fee of $300 for a 50min standard consultation with a psychologist (2023-24). At Mind & Body Psychology we charge much lower rates. If you are eligible for a Medicare or private health rebate, your out-of-pocket costs will be even lower, depending on the rebates available to you.
PSYCHOLOGY SESSIONS - FEE SCHEDULE
Director:
$235 per standard 50min Private or Medicare session
$352.50 per 90min Private or Medicare trauma-focussed session (requires prior approval and arrangment)
+$10 surcharge for first session
+$20 surcharge for outside of hours session (before 8.30am, 5pm onwards, and weekends)
-$131.65 Medicare Rebate (Mental Health Care Plan referral, MHCP), or $58 Medicare Rebate (Chronic Disease Management referral, CDM), or private health rebate
$214.41 per 50min plan-managed NDIS session
$225.10 per 50min DVA session
$337.85 per 90min DVA trauma-focussed session (requires prior approval and arrangment)
+Letters, forms, and reports (outside of required Medicare letters) are charged at the usual hourly rate plus GST.

ASSESSMENTS - FEE SCHEDULE
Brief ADHD Assessments (Adults and Teens):
With psychologist Amanda Murray
Includes:
PART A
1-2 hr intake session with client (and parent/s for teen clients). Your psychologist will discuss with you if a second session is required.
Fee: $215 per session (plus any usual surcharges that may apply, e.g., initial client, outside of hours session). If you have private health, you may be eligible for rebates for these sessions.
Part B
Obtaining information from other sources (e.g., childhood school report cards) and significant others (parents, siblings, partner, friend); this will be discussed with you,
A range of psychological measures to assess ADHD symptoms, executive functions, and more,
Scoring of the various measures; collating and interpreting all available information against DSM5 diagnostic crtieria set,
Written report with recommendations, and
30-50min feedback session.
Fee: $1545 (incl GST) OR Option to pay via 2 part payments of $772.50 (Incl GST).
No Rebates are applicable for Part B.
Payment can be made in full or via two part payments:
$772.50 (incl GST) - Must be paid before Questionnaires are sent
$772.50 (incl GST) - Must be paid 48 hours before your feedback appointment: the report is provided to you at the time of of your feedback appointment.

Once you have booked, you will be sent an assessment intake and consent form and an invoice for Part B.
Part A (intake session/s) must be paid for at the time of these appointments.
Part B: 50% of the fee must be paid before your psychologist sends questionnaires to you and your significant others.
The remaining 50% of Part B must be paid 48hrs before your feedback appointment; the report is provided to you at the time of the feedback appointment.
Written reports can be provided to schools and university/TAFE to register disabilities and access appropriate accommodations;
Written reports can be taken to psychiatrists and paediatricians for consideration (e.g., diagnosis and treatment options).
We use the best available ADHD-relevant measures and follow the Australian ADHD Practice Guidelines for our ADHD assessments. Please note that an assessment of ADHD does not guarantee a diagnosis of ADHD.
